The underwriting team, led by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, will put most of the shares in the steady hands of institutional investors. So don't look for the deal to double on the opening like the latest Internet darling -- but don't fear a crash-and-burn in six months, either. Perot Systems will be a steady performer giving investors long-term capital growth. The deal looks like a buy and hold.
