There is a small review of JAWS (L5 Data Encryption - Professional Edition)in the February, 1999 issue of Mobile Computing.

This review is a result of the media tour that was completed in early summer 1998 with our PR firm McGrath/Power Public Relations. You can see this review at the following website: mobilecomputing.com. Go to the Vendor Alphabetical Index to find the article online.

Here is the review

Security Clamp-Down

JAWS Technologies has introduced the
L5 Data Encryption System, the first
encryption software to address the
increasing frequency of unauthorized access to
digital information. This $50 product employs
recursive mathematics to make backdoor
code-breaking next to impossible. The program
takes advantage of a complex algorithm utilizing
a random-number generator to create a unique
encryption key to ensure that no two encryption
codes are identical. The program takes up less
than 1MB of disk space and can encrypt a 1MB
file in less than 2 seconds. JAWS L5 is available
online, through retail outlets and directly from the
company.
