Cendant sues accounting firm Franchising and marketing giant Cendant has filed a lawsuit against accounting company Ernst & Young, accusing it of negligently failing to detect accounting irregularities. The accounting problems eventually led to a sharp downturn in Cendant's stock price and triggered a massive lawsuit by investors in the company.
