Ah but that would be making a trade based on fundamentals. :-) I learned a long time ago that I do much better playing scam upgrades & downgrades, tout-fests, V-bottoms, unnaturally straight-line moves, and tight inter-day ranges. Wed or Thu for me.

70 15/16, doh! If you bought those calls this morning, then my hat's off to you. (The CBOE covers all bets anyway.) I myself am still waiting for one of the sell-into-2:30's Wed or Thu to load up. If this was the train leaving the station, then I'll have to catch the more expensive one later.

So IBM announced its stock split, but felt that they couldn't wait until the close. That's a bit of a head-scratcher.
