Cheeky, Since you've been so busy ranting and raving about Cadillac and Y2K ... did you have a chance to read the testimony from the National Intelligence Officer (Lawrence Gershwin) regarding Y2K and global implications? y2knewswire.com What's your opinion? No problemo? You gonna be a "formidable opponent" against him too? Why don't you send Gershwin your resume? If you don't have an updated resume ... you could just send him a compilation of your most recent posts on this thread. It would just take a few moments for he, or someone on his staff, to grasp the depth of your knowledge, your insightful reasoning and logic ... your excellent verbal skills. Most of the research and focus group data that I am privy to indicates that there is increasing concern within the general population. Even CNN Headline News tossed up a "factoid" (or whatever they call them) last night that said that 33 percent of those surveyed (by CNN/USA Today, I presume) indicated that they plan to store food and water due to their concerns re Y2K. I'll be interested in reviewing your data and/or sources. Moreover, I'll be even *more* interested in reading your assessment of Gershwin's testimony. You stated that "FALSE Y2K claims that were shown to be FALSE" have turned you into a skeptic. Do factual Y2K claims that are shown to be TRUE cause you to reconsider your pollyandy posture? ggg. Ken
