Hundreds of thousands of ounces. I usta know the "public number" and would have to go back through some boxed files to get said number. But it was in the hundreds of thousands of ounces.

Luck back atcha!

FYI:
Each bag is $1,000 face amount:

if dimes..$1,000 face = 10,000 dimes x .07234 oz
if qtrs...$1,000 face = 4,000 qtrs x .18084 oz
if halves.$1,000 face = 2,000 halves x .36169 oz
seriously doubt if there were silver dollars in those bags, but if:
if silver dollars: $1,000 = 1,000 SD x .77344 oz

just for a rule of thumb, due to circulation wearing
down coinage weights per individual pieces, dealers
consider a bag within "acceptable tolerances" if it weighs 750 oz.
