This might help to clear some of it up.....with pitchforks, prices are both attracted and repelled by the three tines of the fork, so the fork measures the extremes of the move.....when prices bounce off a tine and then return to it, as in the bkx chart posted, then prices typically move through that tine, therefore the bkx chart shows that prices are likely to move lower...generally with violent force.
