Novell is required by the Securities Exchange Commission by law to only sell 600,000 shares per quarter. In other words each quarter Novell are limited to the amount of shares they can sell. This amount around 6 dollars will be readily absorbed by the market place. It amounts to 3.6 million dollars of stock at 6 dollars a share.

I believe Novell had 600,000 shares to sell. I have seen the breakdown of the sales and they typically sell smaller blocks than that 50,000 shares or so at a time. Maybe someone can get the insider trading report. I have seen it before, and will try and find it on the web.
