With the signing of Countrywide, CheckFree now has contracts with more than 40 of the nation's top 100 billers

Well, CheckFree's goal was to sign up 40 new billers by June 30th, 1999. I think they started out with 20 billers, so they have signed up 20+ so far, looks like they are on their way to meet their goal.

Now, Countrywide is on our side.
Reminds me of how Nationwide was on our side until October, when the company was able to pick their pocket and alleviate them of their shares at some ridiculously low single digit figure. This share buyback was noted by Pete K. to be the best investment he ever made; I think the shares he got for forming the company may be better. I even hope (or expect) those paying current prices will view this as a steal when then look back a year or two from now.
