Mohan,

Picked this up on another thread. Couldn't resist posting it here:

Dell to Buy Compaq Computer in exchange for Brazil.

Round Rock, Texas, Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Michael Dell, Chief Executive Officer of Dell Computer (DELL) is said to be buying Compaq Computer (CPQ) in exchange for Brazil. There are no conformations of this rumor, however, Michael Dell and that crazy Compaq CEO with a name that is unpronounceable were seen arguing over Yacht sizes off the cost Anguilla in the Leeward Islands.

The most surprising aspect of this announcement is that Michael Dell had been using the proceeds of stock options for the past 5 years to buy a majority of Brazil.

This announcement should bolster worldwide markets as DELL is expected to announce on Monday morning a currency conversion to none other than shares of Dell Computer. One hundred fifteen "115" Brazilian Real are expected to convert into one "Dell."

Officials at Dell's headquarters in Round Rock, Texas had no comment.

Now all we need is for CNBC to pick this up and do a follow-up story on it. <ggg>

Calvin
