The money, near-term, is clearly in the last mile to the customer and in the service enablers (such as in TV content generators), not in the killer mega-router or high performance optical links, nor will it be the in the one who presents the jazziest color scheme to the ignorant surfer.

Customers who feel like paying an extra sum of money for high performance surfing are clearly in the minority. Most of them will be happy with their lame dial-ups for years to come. Digital TV is on the horizon and it will generate far more consumer interest than high performance internetworking.

ACTV is likely to be another microsoft.

SFA may, in some years become another CISCO, but I think that they will end up playing a more important role in their respective business than CSCO ever could.

BRCM may become the next intel but when intel was less discovered, it traded for a reasonable multiple.

My favorite pick of them all is still SFA.
