When one does the additive thing with private debt + corporate debt + national debt the = is more considered by many more dangerous than ever in history.

I don't know of any previous time when economists provided data based on the above equation. So it is a bit difficult to say whether this the most debt laden economy we have ever had, adjusted for inflation and % of GDP.

There was considerable debt in the US economy after WWII and I would think it interesting to figure the total debt load at that time.

The debt figures in the US are staggering. Take a look at:

and then click on "Debt Monster" for the figures I've compiled.
