David Faber on CNBC just confirmed this morning at 8:15 a.m. that CPQ is spinning off all of Alta Vista to be run and managed as a separate company. Current owners of CPQ will receive some ratio of shares in the new company in proportion to their current ownership interest in CPQ.

Re: futures down 5.50 MANIPULATED You noticed that too. A joker on CNBS last night explained we were going to have a lower open initially, that explains the lower S&P, then later in the day a rise in share prices.
