dppl, A double confirmation with a half-gainer!

"On a short term basis we saw a reversal near the close on WIND yesterday Monday. Today or tomorrow we could have a very sharp snap back to high 30s.A retreat then a second confirmation with target at 43 1/2." - dppl

Sounds good to me:)

After what's happened over the past several days, I sold my entire WIND position (after holding shares for nearly a yr.) My concerns are:

1) The Fri. note from Lehman indicateds co. prob. won't exceed ests. When a co. always exceeds ests., only meeting them is missing them (sorta). Somewhat bothered that Lehman informed the public of this 1st, vs. WIND.
2) Co.'s Fri. press release indicates it might miss ests. ($0.27)!
3) The failure of any analyst to pound the table or upgrade the stock after the significant sell-off (EXTREMELY TROUBLING). H&Q did practically the opposite, not only taking no action, but suspending coverage entirely (this isn't good, regardless of rationalizations about how WIND treated her).
4) Nasdaq up SIGNIFICANTLY today & WIND is up a few ticks. Bad sign.
5) What is the long-term growth rate, the EPS visibility?

After evaluating the risk/reward scenario (& getting clobbered in similar circumstances), I've decided to take the wait-&-see approach. Yes, WIND is a good co. in a strong biz, but something's afoot here & having MSFT as a competitor & no analysts coming to your aide in this situation made nervous. Good luck to all.
