Bob, you'll have to puff harder to blow this rock up.

It is a ROSS, a.k.a. albatROSS.

NASDAQ up 50, JDEC off 1/2 or so...

Notice the size of the firms in this glorious announcement. Also notice that it is World software, not OneWorld and that it is entirely on AS400.

Still waiting for some nice OneWorld on UNIX references. Come on JDEC, not even one? How about an AIX/DB2 6000 site from IBM -- or did IBM figure out that you don't really have an AIX porting group. Course the RS6000 and AS400 folks at IBM aren't one big happy family yet, even tho they want to share peripherals, plants, chips and all that stuff. Interbreeding between the OS'es there will take a bit more coersion. So you blow off your biggest hardware vendor and do base development on HP and DEC -- good way to maintain your IBM relationship.

JDEC - you AREN'T an open systems vendor and three small references and some small outsourcing firm don't make you an EDS or a construction industry mogul. Tho the construction industry is probably a better fit for your software than most. The typical construction firm is centralized and single currency. You can do that much competently. Little else. You probably don't have to worry about wide area network deployment with these types of firms.

As usual,
