Artisoft Adds i.Share to New IBM Small-business PC

Artisoft Software Adds 'Small Business-Friendly' Networking
Capabilities to IBM PC 300GL Series

TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 1999--Artisoft®, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASFT
- news) today announced that IBM will
include Artisoft communications software, featuring the company's i.Share(tm) Internet
sharing product, on the new IBM PC
300GL, Small Business Series line of PCs. With i.Share, users can search the Internet or
send/receive e-mail using a single
connection, dramatically reducing Internet access costs. In addition, the new IBM PC
300GL will support remote network access
for mobile workers with Artisoft's CoSession Remote 32(tm) product and provide
configuration ''fail-safes'' to reduce PC
downtime with ConfigSafe®.

''IBM's new PC 300GL gives small businesses the tools they need to reduce the cost and
complexity of doing business, and we are
excited to be part of it,'' said Scott Moule, vice president and general manager for
Artisoft's communications software group.
''Small businesses understand the importance of network computing to maintaining their
competitiveness. We congratulate IBM for
producing a small business PC system that delivers access to the Internet and to network
resources at a very low cost.''

''Artisoft's track record for providing small businesses with networking products that meet
their specific needs makes them a
natural partner for IBM's PC 300GL, Small Business Series ,'' said Carla Davison, Vice
President, WW Desktop Marketing for the
IBM Personal Systems Group. ''With i.Share and CoSession Remote 32, companies of all
sizes can share access to the Internet,
e-mail and to networked applications and files.''

As announced on Monday, the IBM PC 300GL, Small Business Series is an integrated
small business package designed to make
network access simpler and more cost-effective. The new PC line will include a ten-user
version of i.Share, enabling users on a
network to reduce Internet access costs by sharing a single ISP account, Internet
connection, modem, phone line and TCP/IP
stack. CoSession Remote 32(tm), also included, is software that allows mobile workers
and telecommuters to access files and run
applications on an office PC from their laptop or home computers. ConfigSafe, also
pre-installed, recovers systems from failure by
tracking every change to a Microsoft Windows 95/98 or Windows NT system
configuration by a user, application, or installation
program.

IBM PC users can upgrade the pre-installed ten-user version of i.Share easily to a
32-session version of i.Share. For companies
who want to reduce unproductive Internet access, i.Share's i.Watch(tm) security features
allows network administrator to control
Web access on a site-by-site basis.
