High volume is indeed bullish on rallies, and I like to see this as much as anyone. And low volume selloffs often are positive for stocks in bull trends and when the selloffs are relatively mild.

But I maintain that very sharp drops on low volume -- like we are seeing today in OS -- are often bearish. I have watched many a stock plunge day after day on low volume, only to trough when volume picks up sharply -- a signal that the stock has dropped enough to attract big buyers.
