BUY CPQ now if you want to take advantage of its spin off of Alta Vista.

I believe Alta-Vista will be spun off as a sepertae entity and sold to shareholders. CPQ has still not decided what % of AV they are going to keep.

No chance of getting AV at IPO price unless u r a major customer of the brokers taking them public. And I would NOT place a market order at the open. U will probably get very badly burned as the stock goes into stratosphere at the open and then work its way down to a lower unreasonable value.
