I appreciate both of the posts. Yes, I do realize this is informational in nature, but I usually go back and read old thread messages on a stock for hours with the market chart printed right in front of me. This tends to give me a clue on who is a bit more realistic and intuitive. I admit my knowledge level on all of this is really small. So far have not got burned, but know the day will come. Just hope to stay conservative in my goals and $ gambled on any particular stock. Mostly a long term holder thru full service broker, but enjoy the daily action and, of course the quick profits that can be made. These new Roth IRA's are great, because Unc Sammy doesn't get any cut. Go INDI!!!

To: INDI thread on SI

This post was placed on the IIonline site today, and some folks suggested that an SI member post it on this thread as well.

Lots of luck to all,

Here we go:

Hello johnward and all IIOnliners-

I'm Brette Popper, Individual Investor Group's president.
I, too, read the Individual Investor Group boards am very excited about your enthusiasm about our company (and I learn a thing or two from those of you who aren't as positive). Keep those posts coming!

As you know, legally I can't discuss issues related to the business and operations of this company, but I wanted to specifically address several posts here about our advertising and promotion -- or, as some of you would say, lack there of.

We have a new media plan in place and have recently hired a very high-profile P.R. company to promote Individual Investor Online. We know getting the word out about our sites (we now own InsiderTrader.com, too) and magazines is the key to our success (second only to making sure our content is damn good). I want you to know that we have made significant inroads in this area since we relaunched IIOnline in December.

A few recent spots:

- We've been picked up by the New York Post, Detroit Press, USA Today, LA Times, Atlanta Constitution, St. Louis Dispatch, Sun Sentinel, Atlanta Journal, Lexington Herald, Observer Dispatch, Delaney Report and Alley Cat News. Last week we were featured in the Wall Street Journal. Total estimated print impressions: 14, 911,044 (based on circulation times 2.3 readers per copy).

- We've been featured 9 times on the Dow Jones wire and twice on Reuters.

- Jono has appeared on TV on Fox's Good Day New York, NBC's Today in NY and on BBC Business. He's also done a number of radio shows in Detroit.

- Our site has been reviewed in TimeOut New York and, this month, by Yahoo! Internet Life.

- As for banner advertising, we've run banners on Yahoo!, Lycos, CBS MarketWatch, Wall Street Sports, Hoovers and Raging Bull.

We're working harder than you could possibly imagine to make a bigger and better name for this company. I promise you, there'll be more to come.

Thanks for your loyalty,
Brette
