I read somewhere that "CONCENTRATION OF ASSETS CREATES WEALTH; DIVERSIFICATION PROTECTS IT"... so depending on what stage you are in, diversification may not be best for you. Good luck with the margin!

Arthur, there are some who say that diversification is an excuse for a poor investment decision. Where Dell is concerned, they may be right.

Already on margin like you, but if there's any weakness, I'm adding to the position in size.

You never know what the future holds. Only the Devil knows. Only the Devil should put it all on DELL. ;-)

Arthur, here are three very simple risks:

1. Dell turns in disappointing numbers;
2. Dell issues cautionary forward-looking statements;
3. The market as a whole tanks.

Each of these has occurred in the past ten years. Dell had battery problems with notebooks some years ago and the stock took a major beating. Have you forgotten what happens when an unanticipated scare hits the market? Have you forgotten October 1987? or 1997?

Asset concentration is great if you are in the right asset. Here is an experience with a top quality stock I own. TLAB at the early part of last summer was trading at $93. This fall it was as low as $31. It is trading today at around $88. Had you adopted your strategy with TLAB you would have been virtually wiped out!

I urge you and others to diversify. Diversification is not a dirty word.

TTFN,
CTC
