Brian,
I just E-Mailed your questions to Corporate Headquarters. Hopefully, I'll hear something back soon. There might be other "techies" out there who might be able to help if they were on the conference call.
Brad

Brian,
How's this for a quick response to your questions? That's our team!
"Grupo Brad"

Dear Mr. Walker,

Here is the answer to your questions:

Switches Now

London 256 Ports can handle 8 E1's
Denmark 128 Ports can handle 4 E1's
San Pedro 256 Ports can handle 8 E1's

Switches to Be Installed

London 3072 Ports can handle 96 E1's
New York 1344 Ports can handle 42 E1's
Madrid 4096 Ports can handle 128 E1's

E1 = A European standard that is equivalent to an American T1. The E1 and
the T1 are not completely the same. They both use 64Kb/s channels, but the
T1 has 24 and the E1 has 32. The following table compares E1 and T1. The
European standards are used in all countries, except the United States,
Canada, Japan, and Singapore.

Total Total # of 64Kb/s # of Channels
Bandwidth Channels used for Out of
Band Signaling

T1 1.544 Mb/s 24 1

E1 2.048 Mb/s 32 2

Thank You for your question.
