Thanks for being a voice of reason among all the angst-ridden, panic-driven economists out there predicting, as your boys R.E.M. would sing, "it's the end of the world as we know it...." Let me add that China is (intentionally) building up major favors (credits, pick your word)with the Western powers that be.... by NOT devaluing...which they will use to force (an earlier-than-wanted-by the-West) entry into WTO, and, probably, has led to the Clinton Adm. not pounding them on human rights this year...Oh yeah, they'll probably bring up (when discussing Taiwan as well)...
