24601, Thank you for your detailed response and the links to the demo's, you really seem to know your stuff. Three more forya: 1) This solution appears to be a bit ahead of its time, what are we looking at (in your opinion) in terms of length of time till deployment in the mass market? (which I assume means large OEM contracts?). 2) Again, forgive me my lack of knowledge on the specifics of the solution, but it appears as if wave has, in essence, created a proprietary, hardware-based (with the wave meter performing a token-like function) version of the SET standard. In order to perform the functions you describe, it seems to me as it involves all the same principles except that one would need an account with Wave to authenticate and complete the transaction. Am i missing something? 3) How extensively has the security of this device been tested? As far as you know, have the crackers (hackers?) been given the chance to beat it yet? Has the company made the specifics of the security features available for scrutiny or does it intend to keep them private (which is extremely difficult to do in the tech world).
