If CD has bad karma, ZAP has even worse karma...Glaser looked like a damned fool last year, the company faces nine lawsuits and the ZAP plan for being a major player in the Net looks no better this time than last time.

Richard,

I couldn't agree with you more, except that CD pulls in too much money every quarter for any bad karma to hang around too much longer. Look at its chart since the low of 6 1/2. If you'd bought a thousand shares then, you'd be up more than $13,500 by now.

Everything you say about ZAP is true. But, the first time they announced their portal page, the stock went up to $24. I'm betting it'll do the same thing again on the second announcement, invalidating the lawsuits in the bargain.

Hey, any stock is a gamble.

Besides, if you go to Yahoo and do a company profile on ZAP, you'll find the following under Management Effectiveness. Under Return of Assets, 28.3 Under Return of Equity, 40.47. Both figures are for the trailing 12 months. Not too shabby.

And again, the stock is trading almost at its book value, with little or no debt and muy millions in the bank. And don't forget that fish oil is good for the heart! Here's the link:
