(NASDAQ: ADCT - news) and PairGain® Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: PAIR - news) today announced that the two companies successfully completed interoperability testing of their next-generation HDSL2 systems. Interoperability is a significant design feature of HDSL2, which is expected to revolutionize how service providers deliver T1 services. By reaching the interoperability milestone, both PairGain and ADC are bringing closer the reality of standards-based HDSL2 solutions as the transmission technology of choice among carriers building new access networks. This is the first demonstration of HDSL2 interoperability between two HDSL2 vendors and marks a milestone for both companies and for the high-speed telecommunications network customer.
