Fair enough, Lynn. But it's the way that Compaq has handled this that creates the anger and uncertainty. The only positive clue is this from EPs statement: "...enables us to unlock the tremendous value of AltaVista for our shareholders." Obviously one of Alex Brown's best clients getting a 5,000 share block at the initial offering price does nothing for me or any other CPQ holder.
