Darrell/Anyone.....A MF IOM post (#16717) speculates about a 'missing' $35 MM in Q1 projections. Darrell, as 'The Brains of the Outfit' here, wonder if you think ref. post worthy of comment. Also, I recall IOM with more than token 'presence' at comdex-like photo expo last year. Any know of similar splash this year? Dates of show? Chance of that being platform for BIG NEWS re. Clik! Just wondering.....

Flop! is SUPPOSED to be for portable devices-- no? Don't you think that an official Flop! Owner's Manual limitation like not being able to reliably use a Flop! disc inside the Flop! drive while moving greatly inhibits its usefulness? A Sony Mavica Owner's manual I've read has no such warning in it. Besides, a regular floppy drive like the Mavica's uses older, comparatively more robust technology where the read/write head IS ALREADY IN FULL CONTACT WITH THE FLOPPY DISC! Therefore, there is no risk of a head crash while in use-- unlike Flop!'s floating read/write head over a 3000rpm spinning disc. Let's use a metaphor to compare the toughness/performance of these drives-- a '68 Ford Bronco (Mavica's Floppy) vs. a '82 Fiat Sypder (Flop! drive) The Bronco was made for off-road toughness. Portable devices need toughness, no if's, and's or but's. The Fiat was faster, but prone to breakage, especially if taken off the road. I think this analogy serves well in this regard.
