There was a big article about Level 3 in yesterdays IBD. However, the article did discuss Qwest also. Basically, Qwest has at least a 1 1/2 year lead on Level 3, and for Level 3 to catch up they may have to do it through aquisitions, such as Williams. Actually, that may make sense. Williams and Level 3 are the weak sisters so if they joined they might have a better competitive angle. Anyway, it became apparent that Qwest has the lead big time over these companies. Against the MCI Worldcoms and others I don't know.
