*** OT ** I am getting nervous waiting for the CC :-)

Harry,

It's your monitor. The card has nothing to do with shrinking image. It's the monitor that put the image on the phosphorescent screen thru 2 voltage fields. If the Horizontal field is bad then the image is shrunk into a vertical line. Sorry, that's my best attempt at explaining it as I am no expert in video.

Have you tried to borrow a monitor from a friend and try it out? How about downloading the reference driver from 3DFX site?

Man you ARE a piece of work. Is there some way to hang up on a post? Take your ensoniq video card out and see if you can hear the video a little better. If that doesn't work, take out the modem, go online, and try to download a tech CD. If you find one, print it out and take it to Radio Shack with a copy of your dated sales reciept and see if they can help.

Aloha, "Tech Weenie Extraordinaire" Mike

Please try see this post for what it is, a little comic relief.
