MMV,
I remember reading a rule somewhere that went something like:

If the Dow sets a new high and then the NL > NH within 5 trading days subsequently, then a major correction has followed everytime. This happened back in August.

For me, if the Dow sets a new high on a day when NL > NH (which could happen soon), I will load up on puts.
