I agree, 20 does seem like a conservative order, especially given the fact that the Millennium technology is designed to replace something as common as a dental drill. Not to rain on the parade, but it strikes me that Schein has entered into an agreement with Biolase just to get a foothold; Schein's investment in Millenium 20 units will enable them, if the Millennium is accepted by the dental market, to be in place as a distributor. If it is not, the unsold units can be flipped cheaply or just taken as a loss. Given the size of the dental market, this announcement does not seem like a strong commitment. What is going to drive the stock is not agreements with groups such as Schein, but by the doctors willing to hand over the coin for the units. Are the advantages of the Millennium worth the money? Will it increase doctor revenue? These are the more salient questions. JS

I think the Millenium units are going for about $40,000 per unit. It's a good question for the conference call. Ramped up, BLTI should be able to ship 20/month or more from what I recall of previous discussions. Hopefully, BLTI will address production capacity and sales projections in the conference call. Margins should be high because its the best unit on the market,and dentists who've bought the competition's unit are said to be sorry they did. BLTI has repeatedly stressed that Millenium is unique in the way it cuts hard tissue.
