Now, Ron, will you please run buy how the Hunts = LTCM fiasco? Why did FR need to bail out the Hunts who were long Comex, long Merc and short 2 in London? Hunt's didn't need any help. Nobody said the big boys couldn't be long and play on the correct side also. Besides, the LTCM bailout was an orchestrated infusion of newly printed greenbacks, slipped under the table to 18 global banks...an accounting entry.

The truth on the Hunt's silver squeeze, was that the big boys didn't cover their bets, and pressed the CFTC, NOT THE FED, to change the rules and cancel trading, and cancel contracts, etc., a/w/a demand 100% PLUS margin. A far cry from cranking up the printing presses and electronic debit entries in various foreign exchange central bank accounts.

Surely you don't think the highly secretive Rothchilds and the LDMA was only invented in the last, oh, say 3 years or so, do you?

Heck, I was playing OTC options aka off the floor options back in the dark ages myself...its was like a corner game of marbles...all one needed was some marbles, and a shooter, plus either a string or a piece of stone that would make a circle. OTC/OTF options were wide open and available back then. Oh, and the black scholes model?
Alive and well in the "Hunt" days, too.

But nice chatting w/you anyhow...I didn't expect you to pull your nose out of the tent on the first "shoo!"

PS...Richard,
I'd say the lack of 90% silver bags currently running around, and certainly out of favor for the last 20 years is NOT an indication that the rumors you quote have any validity. Believe me, those of us in the g/s coin bidness would have seen Hunt's supply coming from miles away....nope...can't hope on board THAT rumor.
