Thread,

Here's a question that's got nothing to do with TA. I'm hoping maybe some of the stock savy folks here that might help me interpret the GIC news today anyway.
The chart broke down a few days ago but today GIC closed up 8.75% @ $35.75. Then, after the close, they released a press release about Sony completing its purchase of 7.5 million new shares of GIC common stock for an aggregate purchase price of $187.5 million. That's $25/share. SNE's purchase represents approximately 4.4% of GI's common stock outstanding as of December 31, 1998.

So, should one expect GIC to join Ivan's brothel over the dilution, no affect 'cause it's been priced in since the December agreement, maybe a wee run up 'cause the strategic alliance is now complete, or perhaps...?
TIA...Alski
