To all-Patricia we need you on this string, stick around.
Here is the view on Tellab's by Alkesh Shah, analyst of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter,as of 12/15/98.
"Tlab is our top stock pick in the wireline industry. It's well positioned to meet heightened demand with best in class products. It has excellent and a well respected management team. Tellab's leads the pack in three product areas that are at the core of carrier networks:digital cross connects, echo cancellers and TDM transmission. Tellab's benefits from international growth in basic telephony, the entry of cable operators into telephony, and the build-out of SONET networks in North America. Tellabs will leverage its dominance of the digital cross connect space and its customer relationships to market new ATM products which it is developing."
Not a bad reccommendation from America's largest broker. Also the supreme court ruled that local phone companies have to open their areas to other competitors (that will now need more telecom.eqt.)
Good Hunting
