I do not think there is anything to the Compaq meetings - I'll believe it when I see results. Talks are cheap, IMO . . . it's time for the company to deliver some progress and agreements.

I talked a bit yesterday to one of the programmers. Management is in Texas for talks with Compaq and Alcatel. He didn't know what stage the talks are in with Compaq but thought something was close with Alcatel. We talked quite a bit about the technology and how it can be used in various security and computer identification applications. There was what I believe to be sincere excitement that things will break loose in the near future. They have developed a set of APIs that can be configured for use in many applications. delSecur won't give out the source code so that security is maintained - the problem with many types of security systems is that they fail because an ex-employee or other person tampers with the source code to gain a back door into the system. The delSecur system can be made so secure that it can actually tell if a finger is alive or dead - so it protects against the prospect of someone cutting off someone's finger to use to defeat the device. I don't know if this capability will be used in every system or just automatic teller or other terminal type systems where a higher level security is important. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will see some good news within the next 2-3 weeks.
