I heard a growth fund manager say the other day that one would not find great growth stocks like LU and CSCO and INTC and etc in the portfolio of a value fund manager ... the trailing PEs are just too high to fit their investment philosophy. That's a good reason to refrain from esoteric discussions of PEs in growth situations. EMC should be a good leap candidate during the next sustained market selloff, you may want to add.
