Don't know if this has been posted yet....so many posts in one day. Apparently the actual earnings were only 38 cents. 5 cents of earnings were added as a non-recurring gain. So CPQ beat estimates by only 1 cent and not by 6 cents. But so what, why worry about the daily moves, this stock is still a buy and has every chance of going to the $60 plus range. We had losses last year. A change from a loss to significantly positive earnings is not too shabby. CPQ is not a DELL but its puffing smoke and appears to be building momentum.
