Aw, c'mon Gary, I never beat up on ya. And now that I'm a Lucent shareholder I can even manage a laugh or two. As for the Sprint contract, as I recall they arent the most loyal of Cisco's customers. And GTE, well what else was Cisco going to do with all those dusty boxes sitting in their warehouses? Thanks for the posts Gary. Hi, Gary, its about time CSCO(with high expectaions) make some noisy announcements. You bet they will sell to carriers but how much. As they increase sales of low margin products, their gross margins and operating margins will shrink, that's why CSCO' s valuation is excessive. There is simply too much expectations built in their price. The whole game of investing is discover a company before wallstreet recogonizes and morons start paying high price. CSCO gross margins will fall to 50s next year. So will the stock price. Their sales will go up but not profits. EVEN ASND would have experienced lower margins if they stand alone. But LU has already lower gross margins in high 40s and low 50s. They have higher revenues hence price competition would have major effect on CSCO, but minor one on LU.
