Baruch,

EMC is perhaps Seagate's strongest OEM relationship. Dell is Quantum's largest OEM, Gateway has a big relationship with WDC, and H-P has always been a large customer of Seagate.

We cover some of these fundamental issues on the Seagate Fundamentals thread at Subject 23598 which, as it likely reflects a little longer term focus then this thread, has been quiet lately after the earnings announcement. Both thread offer lots of info on the company and its stock.

Best,
Stitch

Baruch;

I agree that the DD makers are nerds when it comes to advertising and that is nothing to be proud of. I use an Apple and I know they have a long standing relationship with Quantum. However, I added a Seagate Cheetah as my main internal drive. I used to see stickers on my last Apple when it was upgraded using a Daystar CPU. The point is that a DD subcontractor could make a deal with an OEM like Dell to add a sticker or decal to their machines. Something as simple as that would be a big leap forward.

As far as Mastermind goes, what about Yahoo at 337 or AOL or Lycos, etc..Maybe it is overvalued but we have had many discussions here about the relative values of stocks. Maybe he should join our BB.
