STop dreaming about GE and AOL. Jack Welch is a smart man, he will never merge or buy any company this EXPENSIVE. Can you imaging how dilutive it will be to GE? GE shareholders will kill him if he even thinks about it.

Many companies are spinning off their internet operations because of the earning drag. It is one thing a bubble net company merge with another bubble company, and it is quite another story for a solid company to buy or merge with a company with a bubble stock price. AOL has long term potential, but the current price is definitely too high.
