I live in Toronto and get my @home through Rogers Cable. It was installed in two steps:
1) Cable guy installed a completely new line from a distribution point outside to where my computer sat (along with a new cable modem.)
2) Computer guy installed software in the computer.

This was all done under a special offer of $50Cdn.

I'm confused by the suggestion that a cable would be tripped over. If so isn't he already tripping over the phone cable.

Obviously I don't have the whole picture, but I don't want to leave the wrong impression in the minds of those who don't have @home yet.

It has some flaws but I would never go back to dial up unless it surpassed the download speed.
