The Cambridge Conference this past weekend was very interesting. The consensus among the speakers was that Gold was going to move up in a big way BUT they could not forecast when this move was going to happen. The bubble will burst and when it does we will see gold move up strongly and with it a move back into the smallcaps and junior resource sector. I think it was Casey that said the time to buy the speculative resource stocks is now but to get the ones that have cash in the bank and projects in the works. Well duh I could have told you that and you guys probably already know it anyways.
There was a session on diamonds but everyone was all excited about the northwest territories play, that being WSP, MPV and also Gerle Gold. In my opinion MPV is due for a good shot in the arm soon. Some of the speakers believe that the Speculatve market (that being the VSE) is starting to turn around but have noticed that it has been mostly caused by a few big stocks and only a few of them have been resource stocks. It is not a widespread increase but only selective. I guess it was just a warning to watch out. That was about it.
