<<Are they profitable in Toronto yet?>>

Look at this article:

swifttrade.com

There is a waiting list. I guess they are doing well.

Hi Essam,

I also talked to the President of Swifttrade in TO a few times.
Mostly to ask when they'd be coming to Ottawa, but also to ask
about franchises, etc. (Just out of curiosity.) You are right,
it is US$25/1000 shares traded. The prez said the Toronto Swifttrade
office was profitable its second month.

US$25 (commish)
x 2 (buy and sell)
x 10 (conservative number of traders)
x 10 (average number of trades per day - guesstimate)
x 200 (trading days per year)
------
US $1,000,000 gross - still have to pay expenses

However, I can see how it can be profitable in a hurry.

Cheers,
Rob

PS. Supposed to be in Ottawa by the second quarter of 1999.
