Actually, I like tripe, at least boiled, as a component in a complex stew, not as the sole item. It's a texture thing, I know, my husband won't eat tripe, either. Or tongue.

If it's like a muscle, I would eat it, I eat heart, and tongue. The softer it gets, the less likely. I won't touch brains, or lungs, but I will eat most other organs, if set before me, just won't go looking for them. I have been known to buy a tongue, but never a kidney.

BUT, bungs, uteri and pizzles are private parts. And, I refuse to consume an animal's private parts. I have never, never eaten a chitlin'. Have you?
