Normal in the old days meant teachers school so ISNU was formed, Illinois State Teachers University. Later changed to Illinois State University. Normal was named for the school. DScottD went there. However you made a slight mistake, Normal is normal execept for the people. Oops, goof #2. I live about 6 miles south of Normal. Some say the abnormal area, we say the supernormal area. Dogs, horses, deer and people who mind their own business execept when help is needed.
