Grant,

With Time Warners Road Runner, I've only experienced one service interuption in about 6 months (may have been more that I wasn't aware of). Yes, it does get somewhat slower during peak hours, but still at least 10 times faster than a regular connection.

AOL is a good example of a company that has overcome early service problems to prosper, not to say ATHM will, but it can be done.
