Darrell, margin tightening requirements came well before Greenspan's speech.

Two things
1) I didnt break any agreement at all. If you read my post to TLC, all I did was urge the judges to respond in some way, not only to my post but to any other post. Go and look again and tell me if you still think I was lobbying for anything else.
2) You wrote: In your post, you basically reported public info that Greenspan was going to speak. You then went on to say that he may be the catalyst for the blow-off, but in your opinion you made an about face and said: "although I think [Greenspan] will say that the economy is just fine, if not stellar." I'm not clear as to how those kind of comments from Greenspan would cause a blow-off?
My point, and I think it turned out reasonably accurately, was that Greenspan would say that our economy is humming along and doing very well but he would also issue some warning about the valuations in the stock market. Economy very good, stock market too high.
Basically he said just that.
