Thanks for your quote on the moral choices before us and a much better explanation than I could make of the reasons Starr and the rest of the right wing Republicans have been so overwhelmingly rejected.

I am amazed on another level at the depth of their hatred and how it has even clouded the judgement of their leaders in a way that has enabled their most zealous members, in effect, determine the future of their party.

Dan,

may or may not care what happens to Clinton, but I'd guess he agrees somewhat with the above sentiments.

I think you know that Clintons political fate doesn't much arouse my emotions, one way or the other. The revulsion I feel towards those who initiate sexual inquisitions, however, does fire my motor. BTW, I do appreciate your kind words. Now if only I could get you to see the light on anti-trust and laissez-faire economic policies.... LOL! :-)

Regards, JB

<<What most people don't care about, I'd guess, is a bunch of moral reformationists and political hygienists handicapped by a lot of heavy timber in the eye. In a two party system, our choices are limited.>>

On the one hand, yeah. But, the problem I see with this take is that you put the force of the law in the hands of Starr, Hyde etc. on one side and the pettiness of bc having a fling on the other. You paint these politicians as totally bent out of shape in their extreme and unwarranted personal vendetta, using the full force of the government against poor bill and his liaison with Monica.

I don't. There is plenty of extremism out there on all sides, no doubt. But, the team line up, looks more like hustler flynt and hush money Huddle etc. on the one side; Starr and Hyde etc on the other side. I have heard the personal character questions raised about all of these people.

Its not the Broncos against Central High as you typically paint the picture.
