TLC,

We share a very similar view of the great one, EVH.

Did you know that one time at Cobo hall in Detroit, Ted Nugent went backstage to play Ed's rig before the show. He wanted to find out how he made all those sounds.

I guess he walked away pretty depressed.

Re EVH ~ On some PBS documentary I have, I get mixt up of course, Pete Townshend refers to Eddie as "America's virtuoso virtuoso."

That's kind of.....praise.

In 1978, 120,000 of my closest friends along with myself, had the pleasure of seeing Van Halen (along with Nugent) at the Texxas Jam, in the Cotton Bowl. At the time VH was just on the verge of becoming well known and the show they put on was unbelievable, it was like they had something to really prove and held nothing back.

To this day I am still wondering who got stuck with paying the bar tab for about 600,000 gallons of beer <g>
