OUCH on DELL

You could have bought 4000 shares at .25...

You would have had 192,000 shares w/ splits,
which would be worth around $17 million today, eh?
Pretty crazy. I can kick myself, how I didn't see MSPG at $4
a year ago, it went from $4 to around $150, then split 3-1

A $1000 investment in that would've shown $75k+ today.

I don't even wanna figure what $1000 in IBM or MSFT would have done over a couple of years, anyone want to figure it out?

Well, that's the thing, when it was at .25, nobody knew where it would go, same with MSFT. Only the rich people have the ability to TRULY buy and hold, the rest of us don't have the means or the discipline
to do that.

pps Someone please tell me a stock under $5 that is going to split SEVEN times in the next eight years.

If you find it, let me know LOL

Regards

Had to do it ;)

Buying 2000 shares of MSFT in 1988 at .50ea = $1000

Today, would be:

144,000 shares, valued at $24,696,000
Not bad for $1000 investment,
now we know why Bill is worth tens of billions ;)

BTW: $1000 in IBM would be around 4896 shares= $908,000

Goodnight

ps Have I done something terribly wrong in this quick little figuring?

I think you're looking at a split adjusted price on the chart, Dell
was not selling for $.10 in 1990. However, even assuming you bought 100 shares, after 7 splits (first was 3:2) you would have 9600 shares
at ~$90 = 864,000 or 10x if you bought 1000 shares.
