Bill,

Perhaps you might consider the other side of your question.

Why do companies that loose money quarter after quarter such as Amazon.com continue to have rising share prices? My bet is whatever your answer, it is based on someone's perception of the future, credibility of that person, where they are listed, and the markets in which they reside. It really comes down to exposure.

Consider an exchange where only companies who show positive earnings/share are listed. Do you think they would get attention when they first show up? How about a section for only those companies whose EPS were increasing quarter over quarter?

Bottom line is that only hindsight is 20/20 and even those explanations are subject to great debate.

It comes down to faith based on DD, industry opportunity, and market conditions. Either you believe or you do not. If you voted with your wallet, it speaks volumes in that belief.

Hey to quote a really strange man from the Toyota commercials, "Life's a journey, enjoy the ride."
